    Hello,
Need some advice. My accord lx (2001) was
rear ended hard while on the atlanta expressways.

The muffler appears to have separated and the
lights in the rear pasenger side are broken. There
is also some damage to the bumper.

Since, I've never been in an accident before, I've
    got a few questions.

    1. I've filed a claim with my insurer, State farm.
They are giving me an option to choose from a list
of body shops or pick a body shop and give them
    estimates.

What body shops are recommended for this type of collision?
Should I try Honda dealer also?

    2. The person hitting me is mostly responsible for this
collision and is insured by her employer ( a rental car company).

I took a taxi from the accident site to my home since the
car had to be towed away. Should I have to make the insurer
of the person who hit me pay for these expenses? State farm
doesn't want to do this for me...

    3. any other advice you may have regarding picking a body shop,
etc. as well as rental car expenses?

I went to Enterprise and provided them with my case # and got
a rental card. But not sure how the costs of the rental car
    will be handled...

    THanks for any advice

    Hi
I am glad you are ok right now but you may just want to make sure by getting
    a medical checkup.

Please understand I am not encouraging you to be litigious but you'd hate to
get weird head or back aches down the road because of this. Chances are you
are fine, but better safe than sorry.

    Regards,
    Remco
