    Hi.
Just got my brand new 03 CR-V this week.. I'm looking for the specs for the
audio system (6 cd changer/anti theft) ... also, does anyone know how to get
the specs on the "speakers" (6 of them)...

The anti-theft system comes with the 6CD-changer/cassette +6 speakers. I
wonder if I can upgrade the audio system by purchasing/installing a
commercial system (such as Alpine etc...) without losing the anti-theft?
Would the installation have any negative impacts on the car's warranty??

    Appreciate comments..

    Thanks..

    I

    I also have a 2003 CR-V EX.
I was concerned about the same thing,
so I upgraded the audio by adding the Honda subwoofer sold by dealers.
The difference is dramatic, the system sounds so good, and I didn't have to
disrupt the original equipment. Also, it's all under Honda warranty.

    I found the OEM
    subwoofer discounted on the Internet,
and had my local Honda dealer install it.
It was well worth the money.

which website did u use to buy the Honda subwoofer?
after speaking to some local car audio retailers. i am considering to
upgrade the speakers first.. and leave the head unit (6 cd changer/anti
theft) untouched.. and may upgrade the speaker cable to standard 12 gauge..

    any thoughts..

    http://www.collegehillshonda.com/parts/extension/crv/2002crv.htm

They sell the complete kit at a better price than the two parts needed
    individually.

The Honda dealer charged me for one and one-half hour installation, but it took
the technician four hours to install it. This
tech had installed the Honda rep's subwoofer and he was known for being
very careful and very methodical. He said it can't be done right in less time.
