10 point bolt on 2002 civic Rear LCAS

    hey everybody
    i was wondering if there was a special socket to remove those 3 bolts
    that are on the 2002 civic rear lower control arms ??
    if so who makes and where can ig et one ??

  4. Are you sure it isn't 12 point? Honda seems to have fallen in love with
    those things; it takes a 12 point socket in a standard metric size to remove
    them. I admit they do have a good grip that way.

    if it requires a special tool, the honda part number will be in the
    service manual you can get from helm.com. if, as mike suspects, it's a
    standard 12-point nut, you'll be in business with a standard socket set.

    beware replacing bent suspension components - bending something that
    massive doesn't happen easily, so you need to have the frame of the
    vehicle inspected. also get the steering alignment checked after you do
    any work. the geometry on all 4 wheels needs to be "just so".

    they are made that way for a reason. the service manual says never
    ever remove these 3 bolts!!
