I currently have a set of 18x7.5 rims on my 2000 Honda Accord Coupe
with tire size 215/35/18. I was wondering if I could fit different
size tires on the same rims. Like can I fit 225/40/18 on them?

Unfortunately, everytime I hit the tiniest pothole, I dent my rims
and have to repair them and now I have a flat tire.

How in the world did you end up with this size? It's way off, almost 7%
too small compared to the OEM diameter (205/60/16, isn't it?). You
should be running 215/45 on your 18" rims, alternatively 225/45. This
will provide more rim protection from potholes as well as increase
    comfort.
You can, but it's still too small in diameter.

    Cheers,
