i have a 1987 accord and i was pulling out the wire harness to do a
alternator change and pulled the wires out of the plastic thing by mistake,
now i dont know which wire goes in which hole. this connector is a 3 plug
type. it looks just like a house outlet with two holes on top and one on the
bottom and it looks like a smiley face. all i need to know is which color
wire goes on the bottom hole. the one that looks like the mouth on the
smiley face . what color is that wire. i can figure the rest if i know that
    color , thanks

The alternator plug for the '97 Civic looks like what you describe, and
two of the wire colors correspond as well (the third is White / Red on
the Civic and White / Green on yours). I'll e-mail you scans from the
Civic service manual as they may be marginally useful. If your reply-to
address is bogus, let me know a real e-mail address and I'll try again.
