    Hi,

My car's radio and heater fan just stopped working at the same time.
The radio fuse is okay, I'm not sure where fuse that controls heating
fan is - (is it the same as cooling fan?).

Does anyone have an idea as to what the problem might be?

    Thanks

    Greg

If the two problems are related, I very much doubt that this is a
problem in the positive supply, since the blower and the stereo use
separate supplies all the way back to the ignition switch. A guess
would be that the ventilation blower and the stereo share a ground
connection, and that this connection is broken. Unfortunately I can't
find a diagram over ground lovations in the Helm manual.

Is the blower dead on all speed settings? Do you have push-buttons for
selecting where the air comes out, or is it a manual lever type system?
If push buttons, can you hear the little electrical motor buzzing for a
bit after you select a different setting?

You might want to check fuse #22 (40 amp), located in the under-hood relay
box. It feeds both the radio and the blower motor.

Where I live it's minus 20 celsius right now but I'll check this asap.
    I'll post again when tested.

The blower is dead on all settings, and it the sliding lever system.

Then I believe it is a broken ground.
