My alternator light stays on in conjunction with my idle being
    extremely high (2500-3000). Any suggestions?

  2. I'd would inspect the belt for slippage. Remove the alternator and inspect
the brushes, probably increased its wear from the high rev. Put a new
    alternator in.

Alternator removing tip: If alternator seems stuck after removing bolts, put
bolt back in then hammer bolt into the thread. Works on most alternators. Tip
2: Alternator can be remove via the air filter assembly on PGM-FI Accords.

Please specify trim to solve high idle. Lxi, Lx, Dx.

The choke is not heating up and closing as fast as it should, since it gets
its power from the same source as the alt light, but that does not account
for such a high idle. If you have an automatic, suspect Frequency Solenoid
    C.

Regarding the high idle, it's a LX. Thanks

  5. The choke heater is part of the alternator light circuit. First make sure the
heater's not part of the problem. Disconnect the 3-pin connector at the back
on the alternator and turn ignition on. If the light is off the alternator is
bad. If the light is on, you have a short problem.
