    Hi,

    One question?

How do you separate the wiring harness at the plug?

    I'm having difficulty.

Thanks, Please reply to edgin@sbcglobal dot net

  3. Do you mean separate the harness connector from the socket it plugs into?
The design seems to differ, possibly between manual and auto-trans. Every
Honda electrical connector has a latch (sprung plastic) which holds the
plug on its socket - separating them usually involves pressing the end of
the latch furthest away from the connection - they can get sticky with age
so sometimes it helps to lever it up at the latch end with a small
screwdriver first. If the connection assembly is mounted on a metal
bracket, there is an interlock which prevents disconnection till you
    dismount it from the bracket.

When you have unlatched it it may be very stiff to separate the connector
from it socket - a spritz of silicone can help here.

    Yes George,

It is on a metal bracket, following your advice I go it off and installed the
    new sensor.

    Thanks a million!
