    Hi.

I decided to wire my radar detector to the dash clock in my Civic.

I pulled the plug from the clock, partially disassembled the lighter
    adapter, and started testing wires.

After getting everything back together (I'm thrilled I won't have that
wire hanging down the console anymore), I realized the radar detector
is now on all the time.

Since the clock isn't on all the time, I'm assuming there's a wire
that's switched as well - is this correct?

Is there a voltage pinout of the clock connector anywhere? Just
looking to save some time and frustration.

    Thanks!!

If you really want to know the pinout, I think most repair manuals
indicate the colour and function of each wire. However, if you don't
have the manual already, it's just as simple to test each wire for
voltage with a multimeter or test lamp. I saw a test lamp at Dollarama
the other day, so they're CHEAP...
Anyway, of course the clock has two power wires. One is constant power
(the one you used) so the clock keeps time, the other is illumination
for when the key is on. So probe the connector and turn the key and
    see what happens!

    Have fun!
