How much transmission fluid is required when I drain it? Also the auto
part stores online show that there is a filter for the automatic
transmission but I keep seeing remarks of that there is no filter. So
    is there a filter?

Since you probably can't get Honda Z1 tranny fluid at the auto parts
store, skip them. You need about 3 litres each time you drain and fill
the Civic, but you should probably allow a little extra, so pick up
about ten. The drain bolt may be VERY tight, so be prepared to smack the
ratchet handle with a 2x4 to get it free. You can do the drain-n-fills
the same day if you take it for a drive, or do them a week apart to give
the magnetic drain plug more time to 'scavenge' material out of the stream.

forget the filter. there is one, but you can't get at it unless you
strip the whole transmission. just change the oil and be happy.
