125,000 miles and the dealership says that it is starting to go. It slips
into 3rd, really bad slip in the winter time. They quoted me ~USD$ 2,400
for a replacement with 62,000 on it. I thought that they put on "rebuilt"
    transmissions?

It is an automatic. What is the largest number of miles that you have heard
    put on a auto trans?

    What are my options?

  2. you should call transmission shops for rebuilts and/or different quotes.
You might want to check out online places for used transmissions. There is
a nationally connected network of used car places on the internet. I am
referring to the US here. I can only assume your in the US.

You might try a place like majestic Honda autoparts or something like
that...I think they have rebuilt ones but probably about $3400 US

I am curios how much it would cost to have them rebuild your transmission.
