I have a 1997 Honda Civic LX. I have installed a Sony CDX-MP40 headunit. I get absolutly terrible radio reception. I have replaced my plug with lower EMI plugs and I am trying to figure out if replacing my antenna will help. I saw this was listed as a known problem in alldata.com. Has anyone solved this? Any suggestions? thanks!

  2. It might just be a crapy tuner. I went through a few radios before I
found one that was any good. The worst was a Pioneer SuperTuner III,
which completely garbled FM stations with even a little bit of multipath
distortion. The best so far is a Blaupunkt DigiCeiver. The difference
between the two is loud garbled distorion versus clean reception that
sputters every once in a while.
