    I have a 1998 Honda Accord EX V-6 that I love. I just hit 100,000miles.
My brakes started squeaking a few weeks back. Not all the time, just some of
the time. So I took it to local mechanic who took a look and told me that the
brakes are in good shape and need nothing done to them and that I might want to
check with the Dealer about a brake-booster. Can someone shed some light on
    this for me?

  2. Have you had pads replaced, front or back - if so mileage? It's often
normal to get some squeaking from the brakes after hard use for a little
while. It's worse if replacement pads were not properly fitted with shims
and anti-squeal compound. Your car also has wear indicators which will
squeal when the pads are worn and need replaced. This is usually on the
inner pad, which sometimes wears quicker than the outer - IOW you need to
check very closely to see if the inner pad is worn, even if the outer still
has plenty of friction material left.
