Has anyone had the problem of the gas pedal sticking? When I start
off or I am driving there seems to be, what seems like, something
stoping me from pushing the ppedal in. When I put more pressure on
the gas and it "breaks free" it will go faster. Not exactly smooth
    driving.

Has anyone had similar problems? If so how was it fixed?

    Thanks,
    David

Could be a loose throttle body spring. If you'd open up your hood, there's a
circular pulley that you can press (on top of the throttle body, behind the
engine) which moves when you press your gas pedal. Probably the spring that
returns the pulley back to idle position is getting stuck. You can
tighten/loose it a little and see if that makes a difference. Also, you
might want to put some grease on the cable by the pulley to make it slide
    easier.

It's gotta be the third-most mentioned problem on this group. The
throttle body gets gummed up from fuel vapours, and the throttle plate
sticks to the walls of the body. Honda says to remove it for cleaning,
but I'd be tempted to just reach in and wipe it all off with a rag
dampened in throttle body cleaner or brake cleaner.

I'm sure somebody will post a helpful link for you to follow. Meantime,
do a google groups search for 'sticking throttle honda'

This is a problem that is more common on Nissans, but it usually is crud
buildup at the air intake to the engine. Take the tubing from the air
cleaner off and clean out the opening and the butterfly with carburetor
    cleaner.
