I can not find the PCV valve. Any pictures and suggestions would be great.

  2. The Haynes manual has a picture covering the Civic of that vintage with the
D16Y7 engine. The photo, on page 1-4, shows it on the backside of the engine
(accessible from the top) and just to the rear of the "D" in the HONDA logo
on the valve cover. It appears to be underneath the fuel rail.

The pipe goes under the intake manifold and is a major, major bitch to get
    at.

Check this site to find the PCV Valve. Look up
the part number on the list, then find it in the
    diagram.

Oh, you mean the corrosion and peeling paint? It's just what I have to live
with every day. No big deal. You should see my brakes. In fact, why don't
you? (I love scaring people :^)...)

And just for fun, maybe have a gander at this:

People in the south, or the Pacific Northwest, have NO idea...

The problem is that people in the North have no idea, either.

If people had to pay at the pump or when they bought the car
for the damage salt does in shortening the life of the car,
destroying roads and bridges, poluting ground water, killing
trees, I doubt that much of it would be spread.

So human deaths are preferable to spreading salt?

Do you have any idea how lethal winter roads are before salt is spread?
