2000 Accord EX => Turn signals don't always cancel

Ok, this is sort of a minor quibble but my previous car, even on just a mild
lane change, would automatically cancel the turn signal. I bought a 2000 EXv6
and the turn signals only cancel if you make a pretty sharp turn. A moderate
to mild turn and you have to manually shut them off. Same on both sides.

    Is this normal for Hondas?

There is a "work around" to your problem. Just press the turn signal down
or up a very slight amount so that it does not lock into place. When you
release it, it should cancel. I use this trick during lane changes but
lock it in place when making exits from the freeway. This usually involves
making a sharp turn so it automatically cancels the turn signal.

My old Volvo would cancel even on a lane change. Guess the Honda is
    different.

There are slight differences in various types of cars especially if they
are made by different companies. For example, some cars even have the
controls for the radio/CD player mounted on the steering wheel. It would
be hard to get used to making use of that feature if your previous car did
    not have that feature.
