After reading several posts regarding rough idle I still haven't come
across anything describing my issue so I thought I would post in hopes
    of a reply/answer.

I have a 2000 5spd manual transmission accord that is having sporadic
idling issues. It seems to mainly trigger when I brake hard (or at
least it has these last two times). Basically the engine drops rpms
until it essentially stalls but when I over rev the engine a couple
times it seems to fix itself and the idle goes back to normal.

    Any thoughts? ~Buttonz

How full is the coolant reservoir?

Well looking at the resevoir this morning it appears good. The level
is sitting right between min and max. I might swing into shucks here
shortly and check on my ph though as it has been awhile since I did a
coolant flush and losing a radiator in my old subaru I'm a bit paranoid
    now.

Hi there~I have a 1997 Honda Accord in mint condition with 115,548 miles on
it and she runs like a dream. I was having the same problem you were and it
was my fuel injectors(carbuerator) all I did because I'm usually "broke" is I
went to Autozone and bought some liquid stuff for the fuel injectors then I
drove on the freeway for a minute(doing about 90 mph) and she purrs now,so
maybe that would work? I also live in Las Vegas Nevada and when it gets hot
here my Honda seems to run sort of sluggish but I just make sure her radiator
is full as well as her oil is clean and I do drive only on the streets and
not the freeway and I found out that makes the car "build up" where it's
lifter are~In the manifold so just try to drive on the freeway or somewhere
where you can go fast and open your car up~as they say~and maybe thats all it
needs? Just remember Hondas are great cars and when something goes "wrong"
with them usually there is a good reason :) Take Care~AsiaAnne~

Could it be that you are not de-clutching fast enough?

Speaking from recent personal experience with my 1988 Accord LXi (auto), an
intermittent TW sensor will cause the problem we have both experienced.
