    Hi,

I have a 2000 Honda CRV with 76,374 miles on it. Recently the car
started stalling within the first few minutes of driving whenever
stopping at a stop light or stop sign. We started taking the extra
5-10 minutest to let the car warm up before driving it and that seemed
to help, but what does this problem indicate? Someone suggested that I
change the spark plugs, but that didn't really have any affect.

What is your idle speed in Park and Drive when the car is cold?

    two things to check:

    1. valve lash
    2. the "hard" idle adjustment.

DO NOT GO ON ANY LONG DRIVES WITH THE Cr-V !!!

Your valves are too tight and you'll burn one. Your North American
owner's manual is incorrect about the valve adjustment interval, and it
should read 30,000 Miles (50,000 Km).

When you get them adjusted, (anybody can do it) ask to have them set on
the loose side of the specs.
