2000 Odyssey transmission dilemma

I took the Odyssey in for the ~60K (60K or 62.5K) service that
includes the transmission service. About 1500 miles later, it started
slipping when shifting from a stop into first gear. Checked the
transmission fluid and its low (not even touching the dip stick). I am
sure this is what is causing the slipping but now I am concerned that
damage may have been done the transmission.

I need to add Honda fluid but can not find the fill cap. Can anyone
tell me where the fill location is for the transmission fluid?

I have a dilemma, with the known transmission problems for these vans,
should we confront the dealer about the shotty service department (no
leaks on the driveway at all) or trade it to the dealer in before this
worsen later on down the road.

    Thanks,

    Damsel in a dilemma

Get it into the Dealer. Honda increased the warranty period for the tranny
    to 100K miles.

There should be a big bolt on the top of the trans stamped ATF to fill it.
If you can't find it, pour the fluid in through the dipstick tube (you will
need a funnel with a really small hole on the bottom).

Be sure you are checking the level correctly - Honda automatic transmissions
do everything, including checking the fluid, differently from every other
    car maker.

Upon checking for the fill cap, I found that the fill cap is missing.
I believe the extension was only to 80K on this year model unless its
recently been extended yet again. Regardless, even if the dealer fixes
this, I do not want more headaches down the road. This van was just
fine until the service department made a HUGE mistake. It really galls
me to have them ruin my van because of their negligence.

If it was their negligence, they are responsible for correcting the
results. Could the missing fill bolt have resulted in: a) fluid sloshing
out under the pressures of use? b) debris (e.g. road grit) making its
way into your tranny (I don't know where the tranny is on an Ody, so
maybe not)? Sounds like their fault to me, and their responsibility.

A new guy at my favorite RI mechanic's place forgot to tighten the hose
clamps after changing my heater core, and neglected to screw in/tighten
some other bolts. Good thing I only had to go 10 miles--had steam
pouring out from under the hood when I stopped at my destination. That
wasn't bad cuz I caught it, but my mechanic soon got rid of the guy
(there were other problems, apparently) and made it up to me.
