The gas pedal on my 2001 Accord LX-V6 has gotten sticky from its at
rest position. It takes enough force to get past the stickiness that
the pedal then goes too far and the car jumps forward.

What is the easiest way to fix this? Shot of white grease on the
    linkage up under the dashboard?

    Thanks!

  2. -------------------------------------

It gets sticky 'at rest' because fuel vapours condense on the butterfly,
and turn to glue. You can clean the throttle body yourself, or have it
done. Do a google search for accord throttle body clean, or look at the
FAQ at tegger.com. Meantime, tap the pedal _before starting_ to avoid
    dangerous takeoffs. :)

  3. clean the throttle body with throttle body cleaner.

You'll need to do this every couple of years.
