Hello, I was wondering if anyone else had this problem? I just bought a
used 2001 Civic Coupe and apparently the antenna is inside the rear
window glass. I have read another poster that described the same
situation with his Civic. Does anyone have any remedies? Should I add
on one of those "cell phone" antennas and put it on the glass? Or
should I try to add on a real antenna? Or is the ground not set up
    properly on the vehicle? Help!

  2. Hello Steven,
I have a 2002 Civic Sedan with the same antenna and the same symptoms.
I see that they have gone back to the external antenna on the new
units. I just ordered an external antenna from my local dealer and plan
    on putting it in.

Isn't it only the Hybrid that has the external antenna?
That was true in 2003 and 2004.

    Hello Bill,

Thanks for taking time to respond to my message. May I ask how much you
are paying for your antenna? And where your dealer is? I only know of
one dealer in my area, although there are probably countless. Also, is
your antenna original Honda equipment or is it 3rd party?
