2002 side mirror popped off...

Discussion in 'General Motoring' started by MatthewJohn98, Jun 15, 2004.

  1. My wife hit a tall box in the road with the pass. side mirror unit. While the
unit itself collapsed inward and stayed on, the entire internal piece (the
piece with the glass on it) popped or was torn out of the housing. From doing
internet searches, I'm not sure whether I need the whole thing (housing and
all) or just that internal piece. The motors and everything to move the mirror
(if it was there) work OK. Any ideas on what I'm looking at. Gotta have it
repaired, but just am trying to figure out whether to involve my insurance.

You didn't say a 2002 what, but for a 2002 Accord, you can buy the whole
mirror assembly for $140 (unless yours is Naples Gold in which case it's
$240 for some reason), the mirror for $14, or the actuator for $26; a few
other misc parts are also available separately.
