2003 Accord EX V6 Steering

    Hello All,

    I recently started questioning how well the steering works on my 2003 Accord
    EX V6. It was harder to turn the steering wheel on it in comparison to other
    cars I've driven.

    Before this car, I drove a '95 Accord LX V6 for 8 years and the steering
    wheel turned a lot easier than how it works on my 2003 Accord. At first I
    attributed it to the new design. Then about a month ago, we leased a 2004
    Accord LX 4 Cyl for my girlfriend. Turning the steering wheel on the 2004
    Accord is by far easier than on my 2003 Accord.

    Is this something others have noticed? Should it be this way? Is there a
    design difference between a 4cyl cars and a 6cyl cars?

    It's normal for the steering to be heavier on the V6. I tried 3 Accords:
    2001 V6, 2001 4 cyc, 2004 4 cyc. The steering on the V6 is a lot heavier.
    I think this is because of the V6's extra weight and the fact that more of
    this weight is positioned further up front. This puts extra pressure on the
    front wheels.
