Anyone know how many litres (gal) are supposed to be left when the light
goes on? The light tripped at about 50L on a 64L tank, which seemed to me
to be a bit early. My last car ('91 Integra, retired two weeks ago) would
trip about 10L on a 60L tank. I'm used to running it down to about 5L in
    the summer months :)

    Thanks,

    Bruce

I was told it is not a good ideas to run it down too low. Sometimes the
light turns on a little bit early when you go up the hill.

Yeah, I noticed it comes on really early too. Once mine came on and it only
took 45 L to fill the tank. I'm all for having a big dummy factor to ensure
you don't run out of gas but a quarter tank? I usually don't let the tank
run that low anyway though. It's not good for the car since you could suck
up some of the crap at bottom of the tank and ruin your filter or injectors.
Besides, what's the point. You're gonna burn the same amount of gas
eventually anyway so just keep her full. I usually fill it between 1/2 or
    3/4.

No matter how much fuel you have in the tank, it sucks at the bottom.

  6. The turbulence, even from minor bumps, is near the surface of the fuel -
when the surface gets close to the bottom of the tank.........
