I'm disappointed that our 2003 Odyssey EXL (bought new in Dec 2002) has had so many problems, compared to my wife's 1986 Prelude Si, which she had for 17 years, 145,000 miles, and no major problems. The Odyssey doesn't even have 30k miles on it yet! Back in 2003, the gas tank was replaced due to a Honda recall. In 2004, the transmission was fixed, due to another Honda recall. Last year, the entire steering assembly was replaced, under warranty, by the dealer, because of pronounced front-end shudder at highway speeds. However, now it's going back in to the dealer because: 1) The front end shudder is back - and as bad as ever, and, my wife noticed that the van started shuddering pretty badly while sitting at an intersection the other day; 2) Especially when it's cold, shifting from Park into Reverse makes a big "clunk" sound; 3) When braking, usually at low speeds, there's an uncomfortable clicking sound coming from the rear of the van. I realize it's long past time under Colorado law to have this car classified as a lemon, but it seems to me that we're having far more problems, and relatively severe ones, than seems reasonable given Honda's reputation and our past experience with Hondas. Am I just being far too picky, or is this particular van more problematic than most? TIA.
