it's not. but you don't preface a guess as such, you state your guess
is if it were something specific and as if it were fact.

that's a really bad self-deception problem you have there guy.

You do not preface a guess as such either...

I hope you are not going to tell me that you only state absolute facts
    :))))
Right... You can think this way...

Why would I do it? I know what I have read.
Maybe you should read it again?

er, actually, i do. but you wouldn't bother to pay attention because
you're not interested in content, just listening to yourself blather.

this is about you buddy, not me. don't state guesses as fact.

seriously, you need to do something about your denial.

er, because you're in denial? because you need to learn the basics?

    apparently not!!!

maybe you should just go watch tv for your entertainment. you're
bringing nothing to the table here.

I would like to see the sources for the info you propagate in the thread
about steam cleaning engine bay... unless it is just a guesswork and
    misinformation :)

That was true for a time, but Honda then started using them again ...
about the same time they were trying to get massive transmission failure
    rates under control.

My '03 V-6 Accord didn't have an ATF filter when new, but sported one
after a rebuilt transmission was installed under warranty. Hmmm.

i wonder - were these failing transmissions built here or in japan? i
ask because i bought honda shocks for my crx recently, and in
inspection, i find one was made in japan, the other here. the one made
here was notably inferior metal because the thread at the top of the
piston rod was torn indicating that it had some kind of ductility problem.

translated to transmissions, production of swarf in a transmission is
usually either lubrication failure or a problem with the material from
which the gears are cut. honda atf is excellent in my old transmission
and i get almost no swarf at all, so i suspect the latter on the failing
    transmissions.

Its still basically true that there is no replaceable filter in the
transmission. They started putting one in the cooler lines between the
    transmission and the radiator.

I find it interesting that even in the '06 CR-V FSM there is no mention of
the existence of the filter (at least none that I could find). It is only
shown in the parts diagram for radiator replacement in the engine cooling
section, and in that picture it is the one component not identified. I had
to look at the parts diagrams at Majestic to verify that it was indeed the
    transmission filter.
