Thats what I thought also, but theres no way to get the same car new for
under 25k - at least not anywhere in the southeast and if there is a way,
I'm not going to waste any more time and effort looking. I've researched,
called, emailed, talked to dealers and test drove cars for the last 6
months. I'm weary from the dealing and I'm done. It was a good fight and I
feel good about the deal. I got out the door for under 27k.

These items are what is referred to as "pack". Aftermarket mud guards,
even with chrome strips, are only $20 and are fairly easy to install. Pin
striping is a nice touch tho, and does "set the car off" from others
without it. Aftermarket detail shops can add the pin striping for about
$75-$150 depending on the shop. The interior seat & fabric protectant is a
MUST-HAVE (in my opinion) but you can buy it (ScotchGard) at Loewes or
Home Depot for about $5 a can and there's enough in 1 can to do 4 cars.
It's easy to apply, anyone can do it. Read the can. What the hell is a
    "trunk tray"?

Has it ever been titled or do they still have the MSO (Mfr's Statement Of
Origin)? This makes a *BIG* difference to you as buyer. If they have the
MSO, then you go on the title as "original" first owner. However, if it's
been previously titled, then you go on the title as having bought it
"used". That can make a considerable difference when it comes time for YOU
    to sell it.
For $25,100 you ought to be able to buy a brand new car with NO miles on
it. Insurance companies look at automobiles as having an "average" useful
life of 100,000 miles. Therefore, w/4600 miles on the car, 4.6% of its
average useful life has been consumed.

I know you've been dickering for a while and are growing weary, but a car
with 4600 miles on it is a used car, period. For what little difference
there would be in a monthly payment, I'd blow-off this deal and look more
toward dickering on a brand-new one. A year or two from now you'll be glad
    you did.
Depends on how much they INCREASE the price of the new model. Remember,
prices usually go up every year. Typically by buying at the end of the
model year you should be able to save anywhere from 10 to 15% versus what
the new models are selling for.

Once you agree on price you will be taken to the F&I guy (Finance &
Insurance) to draw up the paperwork. The F&I guy is also sometimes called
the "closer". In addition to drawing up the final paperwork, it is his/her
job to sell you on some more extras. One thing they will attempt to shove
down your throat is an extended warranty. Tell them NO and mean it. Don't
let them talk you into anything. Extended warranties are nothing more than
a mechanical breakdown insurance policy, they all have deductibles and
weasel clauses. Your chances of ever just breaking even with the policy's
high up-front cost is historically slim. Historically things that you
think should be covered, won't be because of the weasel clauses that would
    take an attorney to explain.

These items are what is referred to as "pack". Aftermarket mud guards,
I got the "package" charges thrown out and the trunk tray is the rubber
liner to protect the trunk carpet...Wife and I have been looking around at
other 04 accords for pin stripes - none yet.
Never been titled - I'm first owner
Not with all these options or anywhere close to here. I could probably find
one, but the effort is not worth the few $ savings to me now.
My final offer was exactly that - I started with the listed invoice price
added destination charge $490, and subtracted 4.6% for mileage. They had to
eat the "package" to make the deal. (although I know they are still making
    3-5% on me)
too late, I drove the car home today. I feel better about this deal than any
of the previous 15-20 cars I have bought, because I did so much research and
    haggling.
Yea, I know and this one tried to sell me a new warranty product that covers
bugs and stains to the carpet - for $299? I listened to his whole speil and
    then refused.

Bought my 0 miles accord coupe 6-cyl 6-speed for $2450 a month ago.
Came loaded: moonroof, rear spoiler, carpets, mudflaps, etc.

This thing is quick. Faster than my original 340 Dart back in '69 AND
it uses regular gas. I'm gonna add a new air intake/filter system
which will squeeze a few more hp out of it.
