I have just had my AC Compressor replaced on my 2004 Civic EX sedan.
The mechanic tells me that the AC is working fine when jumped, but
will not respond to the controls on the dashboard.

This was not the case immediately prior to having the compressor
replaced (the clutch was bad). The AC worked properly right up to the
end, even with a noisy, failing clutch.

Any idea why this might be the case? Could there be a computer issue
    here?

Thanks for any help you can offer!

Did the mechanic properly charge the system again? You should check
continuity at the pressure sensor to find out. If pressure is too low,
the circuit opens and the clutch will not engage. Does the condensor
fan run when the dash control is engaged? It is almost certainly not a
computer issue. Don't forget to verify simple things like fuses.

    Good luck!
