My 04 Civic with 27000 miles is turning over but not starting from time to
time. It turns over great but just won't catch .When this happens if I wait
a few minutes it always starts . This has me concerned , I know when I take
the vehicle to the dealer it will start fine . Any ideas what the problem
could be ? Thanks in advance for any help .

I Tried holding the pedal to the floor , It didn't help..........I didn't
notice if the KEY icon was flashing but , next time this happens I'll look
    and see if it is.

Try the 'hold it to the floor' trick described in the chapter about
'starting the engine'. If it solves the problem, you know you've got
flooding. A leaking injector seems to be HARD for dealers to diagnose,
but if you confirm that it works when you floor it, you've saved them a
    lot of goofing around.

The little 'KEY' icon isn't flashing on your dash is it?

  4. Somebody, here, gave me a piece of advice extremely useful when i complained
about my Civic 98 not starting sometimes. He said that if the tank is less
than a third full you had to crank it more. It proved to be the correct
    answer in my case.

There is no way this should be happening on such a new vehicle.
Another sign of Honda quality nosediving. You have to wonder why Ford
would want to buy into that company. Oh well, at least youre not
stuck with that transmission problem that happens on Accord.

Either let it crank more, or give the key a
couple more seconds at the 'ON' position to allow
the fuel pump to prime the fuel line to the right
    pressure.
