When replacing tires, how important, other than replacing all 4 at once
on the CR-V, does the model of a manufacturers tire matter?

For instance, when you go to tire selection for Michelin or BF Goodrich
and select tires by vehicle year, model, the results may show only one
to 3 recommended tire models even though there are many more tires of
the same size in other tire models.

Think with AWD or 4 WD your are suppose to replaced all 4 tires at the same
    time.
I have the same car and going to get Michelin Hydroedge.

  3. For instance, at www.bfgoodrichtires.com, in the tire selector option,
if you plug in CR-V, 2004, it only returns the "Control Plus" model for
    size 205/70R15 95S.

Yet Goodrich makes other tire models with the same specs, but they
    don't recommend them, i.e. Traction/TA, etc.

Same for Michelin, it only returns Harmony, Symmetry, and XW4, yet
there are many more models of the same size and specs. Some are under
"SUV" and some under passenger tires...

You could hang over at hondasuv.com, and use the SEARCH to see what
everybody else has has success with. Be particularly careful about NOISE
rating. The factory ones are bad for that, so you don't want to repeat
    that mistake.

Only as it would relate to the vehicle's use. That is, if you
never drive off/road or on snow or ice. An appropriate size and load rated
"ROAD" tire should be fine and probably will ride smoother and quieter. A
straight road tire might wear better too.

  6. I ended up replacing the Duelers with Goodrich Touring T/A Pro series
    70,000 mile tires.
    Much smoother, quieter.
