Anyone else had a problem with their 2006 accord ( 2-door) trunk
release - via the remote key fob?
    - Works fine from inside ( pull handle by driver seat)
    - Can hear mechanism actuate in trunk, but fails to release

Anyone have guess as to what has failed? I don't particularly like
having to take it to dealer. Thanks

I am sure it is under warranty but the hassle of dropping it off
getting rides etc. make that a low priority. Absolutely tender loving
care! no accidents. I can probably figure it out but I am being a
little lazy and seeing if somebody can give me possible solutions
before I tear into it. ;-)

Possibly out of adjustment -- loose. Check the lock.

Turns out the actuator (electrical) in the trunk latching mechanism
    failed. Honda is replacing.
FYI: My trunk opened fine with the interior release, but apparently
there have been several cases of the cable for the interior release
coming loose at the release mechanism in the trunk. (According to Honda
    service)
