I have not taken my car into the shop yet but I think I am going to need an
srs control module and/or clockspring. The clockspring isn't all that
outrageous but that control module is. Anybody know where to get these
things at a reasonable price? New or used is fine. I hear this is a
relatively common problem. Welcome any comments or pointers. If I do need
these components are they a DIY or should I let the big boys handle it? I am
    reasonably competent on repairs.

I don't touch the A/C and SRS systems on my cars. The former is much more
dangerous in reality. The SRS makes all the difference in collisions though,
so you want it properly set-up. If you know what you are doing then by all
means go ahead and DIY but if that was the case I don't think you'd be
    asking this question.

Let someone do it for, someone who knows what they are doing, and if you get
a chance, observe how they do it and ask questions if you see something
    unusual.

    Check this out:

It's not honda but it's a good read if you decide to DIY.

Also, I'd get your service manual which will tell you what you need to know
as far as replacing the module goes.

    Just my 2 cents.

    Good luck!
