    FOR SALE:

    1993 Honda Civic DX - $2000
    1.5 4 cyl motor, 5 speed manual. A/C, Am/FM/Cassette. Tint.
145000 miles. Current tag and registration. Location: Orlando,
    Florida
Send email for pictures to: or

Car is white exterior, 4 door sedan. Manual mirror/left side only.
Manual windows. Power steering, Power brakes. Perfect car for in
town daily use. Not suited for over the highway travel as it has 145K
miles. Distributir has been replaced. That is 4 known Honda Civics
in which the distributir has failed unexpectantly and left the car
stranded at whatever place it happens to be. So much for that
mystical Honda "run for forever" aurora.

For those interested in the technical aspect of the car, and want to
search for the family history of this machine as though as it were a
pedigree horse, here is the VIN#: 1HGEG8546PL041576. Current valid
and clear Florida title - no liens.
Was my father's car new, bought in 6/14/94, and sold to my brother who
is the current owner in 7/15/97. Odometer at date 7/11/97 was 76515.
The other 70K was put on over the past 7 years. 10K a year is very
low mile useage. Has been used by his wife mainly for a family car.
No smelly pets or stinking smoking smell as much as I have been aware.
Interior is decent for a 145K car. No smoke out the tailpipe.

1 item of note: He took out the factory radio and put in his special
$$$$ sound system. That has been removed. The original factory radio
has not been put back in, but is available for those electrically
inclined. Car has speakers, so only the radio needs to be put back
    in.

Leave a note to MIKE. <not > at the above
    emails.

Goto KBB.com plug in the data for a 93 Civic 4 door DX with 145K miles
and you will see the private party value for fair to good condition at
near $2000. Somewhat flexible in price; within reason. No
wholesalers or car dealers with auction prices dancing in their heads.
    Ain't gonna work that way.

    93 Civic: $2000

if its otherwise well maintained, should be good for a cross country
trip. but if youve never replaced tranny fluid, timing belt, hoses, etc
since new, then no- its not a highway car. no reason it cant last for
another 100k, if it was and continues to be taken care of.
if youd have come here, youd have known what to look for. ill take a
distributor prob or flaky main relay that i know about and can fix, over
a grenading tranny, or crappy cylinder head gaskets.
