    Hi,
Can any one help me here. I've come accross a problem with my prelude.
It stalls at random times when warm or cold. I found that there is no fuel
going to the carbs but when i take the fuel line of and crank the engine
fuel pumps through the line. The car then starts and runs for about 20
minuets then stalls again. If i dont disconnect the fuel line the car wont
start for about 20 minuets. I almost feels like a vapour lock of some sort
or a fuel shutoff. I have changed the fuel filter with no results. I have
noticed a ticking sound from the fuel pump every 3 seconds or so..

    Anyone got any ideas

Huh. I thought I had it bad. Mine dies for no apparent reason at times, but
not like that - it'll usually restart immediatly (and either die again or
    not, for whatever reason).
As to the ticking sound - are you saying it goes tick, once, at three second
intervals, or? It almost sounds like it might be the pump (or some feedback
    mechanism, maybe), if so.

I would say that you have one or two possible culprits, a. the fuel pump
is going south (most likely) b. you have crap in your fuel tank / carb
(not as likely depending upon the quality of fuel you purchase). You
said that you changed the filter and it is still doing it, so I would go
    with the fuel pump.
