Hi all. I have this car:

86 Accord DX Carb'd, AT, Hitachi distributor

The car cranks normally, but will not start.
Coil/igniter/wires/plugs/cap/rotor/fuel pump are new and it ran with
the radio condensor disconnected. I get no spark on the coil wire - I
tried it both with a timing light and the screwdriver-to-ground
method... nothing. I've checked the stator air gap and it seems to be
accurate. I get the appropriate voltages and resistance readings at
the terminals and wires in the distributor and coil.

The car would not start in the morning but USED to start when the
weather was warmer, as in the afternoon, but now it won't even do
    that.

What am I missing? Do I need a new distributor? Is there an ignition
computer or something that could go bad? I followed the t/shooting
steps in every manual I have.

    Thanks for any help!
    Tom

There's an igniter that sits right under the reluctor in the distributor that
can fail and cause a lack of spark. If I remember correctly, you should be able
to check the resistance across the wire terminals however you'll likely have to
check a factory service manual for the exact specs.
