87 prelude 1.8L carb model with Manual Trannie.

So I decided to have another look at the
alternator and other stuff today on my
girlfriends car. The belt actually look a
little suspect, so I replaced it, and it seems
to have fixed the problem of the charge light.

My question is, could the charging problem be an
intermittent problem? Or was it just a glazed
    belt?

PS I checked the system under load after warming
up with a digital multimeter. The voltage
dropped by 0.2 volts when I turned on the fan
inside the car, but then went straight back up
    to 14.4v...

While you're under the hood anyway, perhaps clean off the contacts to
    the alternator/battery.
A bad belt could cause that the system doesn't properly charge. I'd
keep my eye on it, but you may have solved your problem.
