    89 Civic 1.5L. Automatic.

My car need to replace 4 spark plugs. Only thing that worry me and I'm not

sure about it how much the torque goes there. I've notice that after I

unpluged all 4 old spark plug, #4 spark was so tightly fited than other 3 spark

plugs. I need to know just how tight the spark plug has to fit in. Really

    tight??? mildly tight???

    13 pounds.

If you go under you risk your plug popping out at 70 mph. Go over and risk
loosing your head. The cylinder head is sometimes worthless if a plug is
snapped from its thread, usually during removal.

You say, "but I don't have a torque wrench." Remember, I can't guess what
12-pound is exactly. Could be a quarter turn after a snug or maybe more.

Tips: Do not use oil to lubricate your plug threads. The oil can turn into
glue. Use proper lubricating paste called ant-seize compound. With this
compound, removing the plug is easy even when tighten higher than 13
pounds... It's not worth loosing your head over it.
