After head gasket replacement, timing belt OK and aligned, compression OK, fuel OK, engine cranks but will not fire, back fire or any symptoms of ignition. Poured gasoline thru carb, plugs still dry after trying to start. Blowing air thru cylinder to prove flow thru carb. Still won't start. Timing light attached to No. 1 firing on top dead center, still won't start. Sprayed either in carb also. Still won't start. HELP!!!!!

  2. Is this a Civic? Are you sure you have the timng belt right? What engine
is it - 1500 TBI or 1600 MFI? They have different timing belt/pulley
    alignments.
Firing on TDC? That's not right. It should fire on 18°BTDC(+/-2°) -
that's the middle mark of the group of three which might still be colored
red. Are you sure it's firing, i.e. you have spark?

Final thought - are you sure the crankshaft pulley is aligned on the
    crankshaft properly... with the key?
