are they better than the newer Hondas?....Comments?
The newest hondas are better than the hondas made 90-93. The reason is that automotive technology improves every year. For example, my 93 honda accord did not have grade logic control or a CD player. My 99 honda accord EX does have grade logic control and a CD player.
I've got a 03 and a 91 and the 03 is a bit roomier and rides softer but I guess I'm looney because I like the 91 more. Tho it may not be as comfortable, it seems more nimble. Also I'm more use to it. I'm not sure what you mean by better but if it's durability, I can't say because I haven't had the 03 long enough to compare. As to workmanship my first impression is yes its as good but again, its not a fair comparison since I haven't had the 03 that long. Good question but I'm not well prepared to answer it yet.
If that's how you judge an improved car, more power to you. To me, the test is overall longevity and a tendency of the car to remain as functional, serviceable and comfortable as when it was new, as expressed by a percentage of original function. In that arena, the '90-93 Accord has held up remarkably well, despite some trouble spots like power antennae, rust on the lower quarters, and a few components like weak distributors. Their relaiability is borne out by the fact that the newest of that generation are almost 11 years old and there are still scores of them on the road. I see them everywhere. It's too early to tell on the newer Accords. Projection of data from earlier Hondas tells us that the newer cars are comparable in terms of reliability and serviceability to the older cars. I do not think that a CD player and grade logic makes a car "better".
