    Hi,
My new to me 1990 Accord EX 4-door gets water in the trunk after a
carwash. It not coming from the top, but seems to be from the wheel
wheels or somewhere along the side. There is a little surface rust on
one side, but no obvious hole that I can see.

    Any ideas?

BTW, I love this car, it's so low to the ground compared to newer
cars, and so tight, even after 14 years.

One very common cause of water in the trunk of older Hondas is failing taillight
    and brakelight gaskets.

One can either disassemble, clean, and silicone caulk or buy new gaskets,
    disassemble, and replace.

I went the caulking route 1.5 years ago on my 1991 Civic, and all's been great
    ever since.

Likely cause is leaking in through the seals on the taillights.

You might want to check the antenna also, even though you say it is not
coming from the top. If you still have the power antenna it tends to corrode
and leak water near the bottom of the motor.

Thanks for the tips. When it stops raining I'll check the taillight
seals and see if that's the problem. I'll keep u updated.

    Thanx

    BTW, no sunroof

Thanks for the tip. My son took the tail lights apart, we siliconed
    the seals, NO MORE WATER!!

I would not have thought of the rear lights being the problem!

    Thanx a bunch,
