90 Acura Legend starter

Discussion in 'General Motoring' started by Richard Schneiderman, Sep 5, 2004.

  1. Starter went bad as car sat idle for 5 months..

I was able to remove the starter bolts, Cannot figure how to get the started
    separated from the wire.
I see that it's connected to the frame on the other side of the site where
    the positive terminal is connected.

Can someone tell me explicit instruction for disconnecting the starter from
this wire. Does the wire come off the vehicle or is it attached for all
    time.

Do I have to cut this wire? What do I do to get this thing tested?
Thanks a whole bunch, in advance.

One wire has a spade connector under a boot.... The other is a nut under a
boot. Pull the rubber boots back.
