Hello, I have a 91 accord with 150K miles on it. I bought it with
about 75K miles. To my knowledge, the clutch has never been replaced.

Tonight my car conked out after idling at a red light. When the light
turned green and I tried to start moving again, it felt like it
slipped out of gear and just died. I tried starting several times, but
it wouldn't turn over. I waited a couple minutes and tried again, and
then it started and I made it the rest of the way home. Then tonight I
drove around some more to test it out. I thought I felt it slip once
shortly after starting out. I drove around about 6 miles, with a
couple stops for errands. Then I was about 50 ft from my house when I
downshifted and it slipped again and died. Again, after waiting a
minute or two, it started back up. The only "pattern" I can see is
that it seemed to happen either after idling a bit or while at a very
    low speed.

I hope to get it to a mechanic tomorrow, but I was trying to get some
input first as to what it might be. Clutch? Transmission? I have no
idea. Any input appreciated. Feel free to email me directly.

    Thanks,
    Lori
