    Hi

I have a 1992 accord ex with a lot of miles on it. Recently I have
been noticing that taking it out of Park is very difficult. Some times
i have to use two hands to squeeze the shifter button and move out of
Park. Its seems to get stuck in Park.

ALso I noticed that there are times I am trying to put the shifter in
Park and it appears to not be in Park as the "P" light is not
eluminated and the keys cannot be taken out. To solve this second
problem, i have to move the shifter down to Drive and then push it
    firmly up to Park

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

This TSB describes a recall on the CIVIC, but the adjustment / solution
for yours is the same. I did this on my CR-V recently and solved a
    couple of problems.

In addition, I'd recommend hosing all five of your locks with a
graphite-based aerosol like Lock-Ease, and everything will work like
NEW. It's messy, but it restores all your locks and prevents further
    wear-n-tear.
