92 Civic low mileage

Discussion in 'Civic' started by merlotbrougham, Feb 9, 2006.

  1. Like Marco's 97 post down aways, I got just 24.7 mpg this last tankful
of daily city commuting decidedly light-footed. No snow until last
night. This car/motor/autotrans was rated 27/34.

PCV valve (I hear), plugs, wires, oil/filter, air filter. What else to
change? I did all this less than a year ago with OE. I know that 24.7
is close to the 27, but typical? Just doesn't seem all that great for a
    tiny car.

Take all the tips at http://home.earthlink.net/~honda.lioness/id11.html
    seriously.

If doing these things does not help, then consider pre-emptively changing
your oxygen sensor. Should be cheap for an OEM one for a 92 Civic at
