'92 Prelude Si ABS

Discussion in 'Prelude' started by Trying to Help, Oct 4, 2005.

  1. After 170K miles of trouble-free driving, my ABS lamp has come on
recently and after troubleshooting, I am faced with Code "1" (ABS Pump
Failure). I think this part costs north of $900USD. Any ideas on how
to troubleshoot this pump or am I hosed?

Pull the fuse. Pull the warning bulb. Drive on. ABS is an option, not a
    necessity.

Not the point. I'm thinking about selling in the future, but ABS
warning light may drag down pricing.

depends if you're selling it to some californian fred that's going to
keep their wheels locked for 300 yards at a time at the first sign of
rain or whether you're selling it to someone that's used to driving in
mud & snow. if the latter, they may just be grateful. personally, i
    can't stand abs.
