93 Accord hard only running on two cylinders

My 93 accord is only running on the #2 and #4 cylinders. The problem
started with difficult starts in the mornings (I live in
Hawaii...don't think this counts as a cold start) and it would be
even more difficult to start after being parked in the sun for a while.
After getting started, it would idle really rough - like it is doing
full time now- but would eventually start idling normally after about
    15-30 seconds.
The problem got progressively worse with the strong fuel odor at each
attempt to the point where it would not start. After noticing a leak
around the injector for the #2 cylinder, I salvaged 4 jets from a 92
Accord soaked them in Fuel injector cleaner for a couple hours and
fitted them to my 93 Accord. Now It is still very hard to start, and
when it does, I can take off the #2 and #4 plug wires and it will not
make a difference in the way the car idles (rough).
I changed the spark plugs/ wires, distributor cap, rotor all within
this month, though I have noticed a gouge in one of the contact post
    inside the distributor cap.

Can anyone offer some insight on how to overcome these issues?

I have soaked the 4 original injectors in injector cleaner and I am
thinking about putting them back on, however after fitting the
straw-like nozzle from a can of compressed air over the needle like tip
at the bottom of the jets in attempt to blow out any residual cleaning
solution, I realized the air passed freely through two of the jets but
did not through the other two. Should I be concerned about this?

    Thanks

how are the bearings inside the distributor? any red dust? excessive
play in the rotor? a gouge would indicate somethings hitting something
    it shouldnt be.

There is minimal rotatitional play but none left/righ or up/down. The
inside of the distributor looks brand new, the igniter was also
replaced within the last 6 months. I would like to imagine that the
gouge was made becuse the screw which secures the underside of the
distributor was loose for a few days, in any event the sparks are being
deliverd to the plugswith no further action.

Not sure if it's any help but I once fixed a volvo which did something like
this - turned out to be that there were 2 separate ignition pickup sensors
(one for each pair of plugs), and one was faulty.

Your car has a normal distributor. ib is referring to wasted-spark ignition
    with no distributor.

Yes it does. Your car runs at 190F. I've beeen to Hawaii and it's never
    190F there.

With the engine running, pull each spark plug wire in turn and hold it
close to a metal engine part. Do you consistently see and hear a yellow
spark on each wire? (Holding the wire will hurt until the spark has
someplace to go). If you can't keep the motor running, have a helper crank
it while you hold the wire.

Try to do this at night, to make it easier to see the spark.

You mean the spray passed all the way into the injector? This should *not*
be possible. They are sealed shut when not electrically activated. Please
    clarify.

have you changed the plugs recently? if yes, i suspect head gasket.
are you losing a little coolant?

TeGGeR® ...The answer to your question is yes, the air went all the
way through two of the four injector. that is why I wasnt sure which
were good and which were bad.

I am loosing some coolant but I know the radiator cap needs to be
repalced I can see the vapors coming from the cap when it gets hot.

i spotted that after posting! and you changed the plug wires.

still consider the head gasket. do what you have to do to eliminate
coolant loss from other problems, but gasket is definitely on the list.
particularly if you can see bubbling in the expansion bottle either
during operation or a few minutes afterwards. [leakage of the radiator
cap may be due to excess gas pressure.] i just had the same problems on
my civic and misfire on first start that gradually disappeared after a
few seconds was what you'd expect from moisture in the cylinder. honda
often don't give the usual head gasket symptoms like mayonnaise under
the oil cap or oil in the coolant.

the two that you say are not firing - are you sure you don't have the
plug wires reversed at the plug end or the distributor end?

if that is ok, you might want to take off the valve cover and watch the
valves while it is running and see if they are all functioning. I have
seen rockers grossly out of adjustment or worn to the point of no valve
action - which fits your description of gradually getting worse.

The two where air goes all the way through, something is SERIOUSLY wrong
with them. This may be your whole problem.

Go to the wreckers and get two off a wreck. I got four recently, for $10
    per injector.
