At first I had an intermittent problem with my rear wiper, where
sometimes it just wouldn't work. Eventually about a week ago, it quit
    completely.
Yesterday, while driving in a pissing rain storm, the front wipers quit
mid-stride. The fuse had blown, and when I changed it, it blew
immediately without even having the wipers on.
3 fuses later I figured it had to be an electrical short.
While talking to someone at Partsource about finding a wiper relay (of
which their isn't one), it dawned on me that the rear wiper was
probably the cause, having only been a week since it stopped working.
I took the 2 screws off of the rear wiper motor cover, and could
immediately smell the tell-tale burnt electronics smell. I unplugged
the motor, put in a new fuse and VOILA! the front wipers work fine now.
I don't think I plan on replacing the rear-wiper motor, if CX owners
can go without, so can I!

I thoguht I should put this into words, maybe it'll help someone who
can't figure out why their wipers don't work.
