93 Honda Civic Ex Coupe needs engine

    I am located in central Ohio and am looking for replacement engine for my '93
    Civic Ex Coupe. Been getting conflicting info as to whether it is a 1.5 or
    1.6. How can I tell? Any suggestions where a replacement engine can be found?
    Would consider one from salvage yard but would also like to consider rebuilt
    one. Appreciate any and all suggestions.

    Look at digit number 6 in the VIN. "1" means 1.6 liter and "2" means 1.5
    liter for the coupe. If you can find the engine number, D15xx means 1.5
    liter and D16xx means 1.6 liter.

    Does that work at http://www.autobaza.pl/ab/en/web/productaa0100 ?

    I was going to suggest looking at the EPA sticker on the underside of the
    hood. That might not work, nor would the VIN trick, if the engine had been
    swapped some time in the last 10 years.

    ALL 92-95 Civic EX's and Si HB's and 1.6L SOHC VTEC, engine code D16Z6.
    There should be a place in/near Columbus to get a engine.
