93 prelude main relay problem

    I have a 93 vtec prelude no fuel and engine check light stays on. is the
    light staying on because engine will not start or is the main relay
    dead.Any ideas very welcome

    You could have a bad fuse for the fuel pump. On my 89 Legend when the fuel
    pump fuse went bad, the check engine light would stay on... (and you
    couldn't crank the car, on that one.) A bad main relay can cause all kinds
    of problem though, because it powers not only the fuel pump but also the
    computer.

    First thing you need to do is recover that error code. Check out the PDF

    An error 16 is normally associated with a bad Main Relay.

    Main Relays don't get "dead", they just get cracked solder.
