So today notice the car is running hot as I am getting home, smell
antifreeze and in the driveway notice smoke but that was from the
antifreeze pouring out of the front of the car and hitting the hot
engine. There was antifreeze pouring out of the front of the car, any
ideas? Broken hose? Water pump? what do you think?

  2. Sounds like a hose - the water pump is on the side. When it cools, feel all
the hoses for hardness, softness, bulges and holes. They usually fail near
    an end.

    bad thermostat?

where was the coolant *coming from*? Did you look to see?

Split hose, most likely. Could also be a cracked rad tank. Did you raise
    the hood and check?
